At Benihana, we try to capture the festive flavors of the holidays and winter season in our signature cocktails. Guests will find these holiday twists on classic favorites in our seasonal Cranberry Mojito and Pomegranate Ginger Paloma.* While guests can enjoy these cocktails at their local Benihana restaurant, there are also ways novice mixologists can capture the flavors of the holidays in their drinks at home.

Spice-infused syrups will add a “holiday” feel to your cocktails. Many classic cocktails – Gin Fizz, Tom Collins, OId Fashioned, Whiskey Sour, Mojito – call for the use of simple syrup (essentially the mixing of sugar and water). Easily put a festive spin on these classics by adding holiday spices to the syrup. Spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger and allspice are great options.

Swap in seasonal fruits. In-season fruits will also add unique twists to drinks. Garnish drinks with slices of apple or pear, muddle in cranberries for beautiful color and delicious flavor, or use citrus juices like orange, tangerine or grapefruit for a light, refreshing taste.

Just add bubbles. Champagne and sparkling wine are traditionally associated with celebrations, which make them ideal choices for the holiday season. While enjoyable on their own, they can also add flair to mixed drinks. Take a traditional drink like a mojito and add a splash of champagne before serving, or serve guests favorite champagne cocktails like a Bellini or French 75 at your next holiday party.
